Training Services
SDCA delivers a range of British Sign Language (BSL) courses, from beginner to professional levels, including Levels 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6. All of our courses are accredited by Signature, the recognised awarding body.
Alongside accredited courses, we also offer Deaf Awareness training, enrichment courses, and bespoke training tailored to individual organisations and workplaces.

BSL Training
SDCA provide:
- Accredited BSL courses (Levels 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6)
- Bespoke BSL and communication training in workplace settings
- One-to-one BSL tuition with experienced tutors
- Support for students re-sitting exams, including booking re-sits at SDCA
Deaf Awareness Training
Our Deaf Awareness training can be delivered:
- In your workplace
- In schools and colleges
- At SDCA’s offices
These sessions offer insight into Deaf culture and history, practical guidance on working with Deaf people, and basic communication skills to build confidence and understanding.
One-to-one language support
We also provide one-to-one support for deaf people who have experienced language deprivation. This support focuses on developing language skills, expression, confidence and exploring identity in a supportive and inclusive environment.
