Communication Services
We provide communication professionals, including Registered British Sign Language interpreters that can be booked to support deaf and deafblind people access services, appointments, and everyday activities with confidence.
We offer BSL Interpreters, Deaf Interpreters, Deafblind Interpreters and Notetakers across a wide range of settings, including medical appointments, workplace meetings, training courses, Jobcentre appointments, school meetings, public events, social care and legal or police settings.
Our aim is to make sure communication works for you, whatever the situation.

Our standards
All communication professionals we work with are registered with the NRCPD (National Registers of Communication Professionals working with Deaf and Deafblind People) and follow their Code of Conduct.
This means they:

have valid Professional Indemnity Insurance

follow strict confidentiality guidelines at all times

Out of hours and emergencies (24/7)
Our Communication Service operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with an out-of-hours service available for emergencies. If you need an interpreter outside normal office hours, please contact 07885 913225.
Interpreter I@ Service
We hold free sessions with interpreters, called I@ appointments, where interpreters are available to support with tasks such as:

Understanding letters and bills

Making telephone calls

Booking appointments

Completing forms
These appointments must be booked in advance, due to high demand.
