We provide a service for to identify where people need help and support to access their welfare rights and benefit entitlements. Benefits can include for example Disability Living Allowance (DLA) or Employment and Support Allowance (ESA). This service supports people through the claiming process, from the initial form filling to receiving the actual benefit.
A welfare rights officer is accessible at the Deaf Centre every Wednesday. A prior appointment needs to be made and can be done via email, telephone, SMS or visiting the centre. Alternatively, please complete the contact form and we will contact you to confirm date/time of your appointment. Please note, this service is for deaf and hard of hearing people only.
